Andrew Cabot, husband of former Astronomer HR executive Kristin Cabot, has revealed that he and Kristin were already separated weeks before her viral kiss cam moment with ex-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert in July.<\/p>\n

In a statement released Monday, Andrew\u2014CEO of Privateer Rum\u2014shared that the couple had been \u201cprivately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert.\u201d<\/p>\n

A spokesperson told People, \u201cTheir decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,\u201d adding, \u201cNow that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they\u2019ve always valued.\u201d<\/p>\n

Public records indicate that Kristin and Andrew had shared a residence in Rye, New Hampshire since at least 2023.<\/p>\n

A Facebook post believed to be from May 2024 showed Kristin wearing a large wedding ring, smiling beside Andrew and their two children.<\/p>\n

Kristin filed for divorce on August 13 in Portsmouth, NH, according to court documents obtained by Daily Mail.<\/p>\n

Andrew\u2019s former wife, Julia Cabot, also confirmed that Andrew had informed her of the separation shortly after the kiss cam incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cI texted Andrew right after [the kiss cam scandal] happened, and he said: \u2018Her life is nothing to do with me,\u2019 and said they were separating,\u201d Julia said.<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cThat\u2019s why after it happened, I got loads of texts from people with that word: karma. It was like: what you give, you get.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPersonally, I don\u2019t think he\u2019s affected by what happened at all. I don\u2019t think his feelings are hurt. He\u2019s probably embarrassed, if anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the Coldplay kiss cam scandal, both Kristin, 52, and Byron, 50, resigned from their positions at Astronomer.<\/p>\n

The two instantly went viral due to their extreme reactions after they were caught in a romantic embrace via a Jumbotron camera at a Coldplay concert in Boston.<\/p>\n

Once they realized they were on camera, Byron looked horrified and immediately ducked down, while Kristin turned away, clearly mortified.<\/p>\n

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked at the time, \u201cEither they\u2019re having an affair or they\u2019re just very shy.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was later revealed that Byron was married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, while Kristin had a husband of her own, Andrew.<\/p>\n

Megan fled the duo\u2019s $1.4 million home in Northborough, Mass., and was hiding out at their $2.4 million Maine mansion while holding crisis talks about her marriage, the Daily Mail reported in July.<\/p>\n
