The church was quiet. People were sitting on the benches, some were reading a prayer to themselves, some were listening to the words of the priest. Everything seemed to be going as usual \u2013 until a man appeared in the doorway.<\/p>\n

He was barefoot, in old torn clothes, with gray hair and a tired look. A barely noticeable whisper ran through the hall. Everyone felt the heavy smell emanating from him. Several women winced, men turned away to get as far away as possible. No one wanted to have anything to do with him.<\/p>\n
