He raised an eyebrow. \u201cMa\u2019am, your seats are in Row 17. This passenger is in the correct seat she purchased.\u201d<\/p>\n
The woman pressed on, louder now. \u201cBut my son doesn\u2019t want the middle seat! It\u2019s common courtesy for her to move. Why can\u2019t you ask her nicely to do the right thing?\u201d<\/p>\n
Naomi\u2019s hands tightened on her book, but she stayed silent, letting the pilot handle it.<\/p>\n
The captain\u2019s expression didn\u2019t waver. He crouched slightly to meet the boy\u2019s eyes. \u201cSon, your seat is in Row 17, correct?\u201d The boy nodded timidly. \u201cGood. Then that\u2019s where you belong.\u201d<\/p>\n
