At first, all the guests burst out laughing. Someone clapped, someone joked that it would be \u201cthe video of the year.\u201d The mother-in-law laughed the loudest, clapping her hands as if it was all part of the entertainment.<\/p>\n

But the laughter stopped instantly when, after a few seconds, the pregnant woman still didn\u2019t come up.<\/p>\n

\u201cUh\u2026 where is she?\u201d one friend asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2026 she\u2019s not coming up\u2026\u201d someone whispered, trembling.<\/p>\n

Only the mother-in-law said sharply:<\/p>\n

\u201cOh come on, she can swim\u2026 She\u2019s just pretending.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the husband spun toward her:<\/p>\n
