Fulton County DA Fani Willis has been ordered to pay over $54,000 in legal fees for violating. Georgia\u2019s Open Records Act after failing to provide documents requested by attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who represents Michael Roman, a co-defendant in the Trump election case.<\/p>\n

A judge criticized Willis\u2019 office for showing \u201copen hostility\u201d and a \u201clack of good faith\u201d in handling the requests.<\/p>\n

This comes amid broader scrutiny of Willis, including her disqualification from the Trump case over a prior relationship with a special prosecutor. She is appealing that decision to the Georgia Supreme Court<\/p>\n
