That statement surprised the Tesla CEO, but Trump reassured him that despite his efforts, he could not find anyone wiser or better to do the job.<\/p>\n

The interview was for Fox News\u2019s Sean Hannity, and the president discussed what drew him to Musk and even explained what the public should know about the leading cost-cutter.
\n\u2018You know, I wish I could find someone smarter than him,\u2019 Trump said, before laughing and saying he couldn\u2019t. If that doesn\u2019t constitute an ego boost for Musk, we don\u2019t know what does.<\/p>\n
