With President-elect Donald Trump\u2019s return to the White House just one week away, Washington, D.C. is experiencing significant change.<\/p>\n
Melania Trump, the soon-to-be first lady, is prepared to return to the role she held from 2016 to 2020, armed with more experience and eager to broaden her \u201cBe Best\u201d initiative for the country.<\/p>\n
During an exclusive interview with Fox News\u2019 Ainsley Earhardt, Melania Trump discussed the Trump transition and how she offers advice to her husband.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel I was always me the first time as well. I just feel that people didn\u2019t accept me. Maybe they didn\u2019t understand me the way maybe they do now, and I didn\u2019t have much support. Maybe some people, they see me as just the wife of the president, but I\u2019m standing on my own two feet, independent. I have my own thoughts. I have my own \u2018yes and no.\u2019 I don\u2019t always agree with [what] my husband is saying or doing, and that\u2019s okay,\u201d Melania Trump said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI give him my advice. And sometimes he listens. Sometimes he doesn\u2019t. And that\u2019s okay,\u201d she added in the interview.<\/p>\n
During Trump\u2019s first time as president, Melania\u2019s \u201cBe Best\u201d initiative, which promotes youth health and safety and fights cyberbullying, became a big part of who she was as first lady.<\/p>\n
She wants to \u201ccontinue\u201d and \u201cexpand\u201d the program because it was hard for her the first time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t have much support from anyone. I invited all of the streaming platforms to the White House. I had the roundtable, and I didn\u2019t have much support from them. And imagine what we could do in those years if they will rally behind me and teach the children and protect them about social media and their mental health.\u201d<\/p>\n
The company said in a statement that a behind-the-scenes Amazon Prime documentary about the life of the new first lady will be released in theaters and on the streaming service later this year. The movie comes after her best-selling biography, \u201cMelania,\u201d which came out in October of last year and quickly became a bestseller.<\/p>\n
