Authorities identified the victims of a plane crash near Honduras, including a Garifuna singer, and confirmed a few survivors after search and rescue efforts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Honduran Civil Aviation Agency (AHAC) confirmed that a plane crashed into the sea<\/a> near Roat\u00e1n at 6:18 p.m. on March 17, 2025, shortly after takeoff. The incident resulted in 12 deaths.
\nThe Jetstream 32 aircraft, operated by Lanhsa, had departed from Juan Manuel G\u00e1lvez International Airport and was heading to Guillermo Anderson Airport in La Ceiba. Onboard were 17 people, including two pilots, a flight attendant, and 14 passengers.<\/p>\n

Preliminary reports indicate that the plane lost engine power due to an apparent mechanical failure<\/a>. The aircraft crashed approximately one kilometer from the runway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
