A doctor delivers a difficult birth to his ex-girlfriend, but as soon as he sees the newborn baby, he freezes in horror

The maternity ward overflowed with patients that day. Nurses rushed, monitors beeped, and doctors barely had time to catch their breath. He had just stepped out from a long surgery when a nurse appeared: “Doctor, we need you—complicated labor, urgent!”

He sighed, pulled on a clean gown, scrubbed his hands, and walked briskly into the delivery room. But the instant his eyes fell on the patient, his pulse stopped.

On the bed lay her.

The woman who once held his heart for seven years. The one who vanished without a word, leaving only silence where their future should have been. Her face was drenched in sweat, twisted with pain, one hand gripping the sheets, the other clutching her phone.
