The Young and the Restless’ Victor Newman—the renowned German actor Eric Braeden—recently published an honest video chronicling his fight with cancer.

After receiving a cancer diagnosis, the 82-year-old actor revealed in his touching statement that he is currently receiving immunotherapy.

After experiencing problems with his prostate while healing from knee surgery, Braeden received the unexpected cancer diagnosis at a routine checkup, which he discussed during a Facebook Live session.

He disclosed the discovery of “high-grade” cancer cells in close proximity to his bladder.

The serial drama will go on with Braeden’s job despite his health problems.

With the words, “I’m happy to be able to go to work…,” he shared his passion for acting and his resolve to beat his condition. It won’t be long till I’m back to my best.
