I didn’t tell my mother-in-law that we had installed cameras in our house: while we were away, she came in, opened the door with her own keys – and later I watched the recordings and called the police 😱😲

When we moved into our new home, my husband insisted that his mother should also have a duplicate key. He explained it simply: “If we ever go away, she can look after the house, water the plants, feed the cat.”

I didn’t argue, but every time I came home, I noticed strange little things. Documents weren’t where I had left them.

The jewelry in my box had been rearranged. Sometimes I even found wrappers in the trash from products we had definitely never bought.
