Leavitt shared adorable photos from her husband Nicholas Riccio’s and their eight-month-old son Niko’s visit to the White House on Instagram on Tuesday

Leavitt, wearing the same baby blue suit she had worn to the press briefing that day, smiled as she held her infant and posed with Riccio, who was wearing a traditional navy striped suit.

“Visiting mama at work” was the simple caption for the Instagram carousel. Leavitt was holding Niko in front of a desk and mirror in another picture that she posted to her Instagram Story, with his reflection lending an additional charming element.

In the Story, she wrote, “My sweet sweet boy.”

Although fans showered the young family with praise in the comments section, many were quick to point out two interesting objects that were displayed on the corkboard in the background of one of the pictures.

Examining the Background in More Detail

Fans noticed two framed New York Post covers pinned to a bulletin board behind Leavitt and her infant in the Instagram Story photo. They also noticed two handwritten inspirational notes that looked like they were written on official White House stationery.

One note said:

“You are courageous and strong!”

The other provided a lighthearted confidence boost:

“Take full advantage of the briefing day!”

Although the notes’ source is still unknown, their encouraging words won over fans, many of whom appreciated the behind-the-scenes glimpse into the press secretary’s office.
The fact that baby Niko was only wearing one sock in the family portrait outside the White House was another small but endearing detail that went viral online.

Fans found the missing sock moment adorable and relatable for parents everywhere, which led to amused reactions to the image.

An Inside Look at Leavitt’s Personal Life

This family moment comes weeks after Leavitt shared another personal update: pictures from her January 2025 wedding to 32-year-old real estate entrepreneur Riccio.

Leavitt first kept their relationship private, but she has since started talking more in public. She admitted that their relationship was “atypical” in a recent podcast, but she clarified that they were introduced by mutual friends and hit it off right away.

Niko, the couple’s son, was born on July 10, 2024, just months before Leavitt was named President Donald Trump’s press secretary. The couple became engaged in December 2023.
