We found it right next to the lawnmower. My husband had gone outside to check the machine and noticed a strange mark on the grass – as if something had fallen from above. When he looked up, he saw on the lower branches of the old tree a chain of about ten little “pouches.” 😱

It looked so unusual that we first thought of insects. Maybe a nest? Maybe cocoons? But the longer we stared, the more uneasy we felt.
