When the national park ranger noticed a motionless shape in the bushes, he first thought it was the body of a large dead animal. But as he took a few more steps, that “body” moved, and a cold shiver ran down his spine.

In front of him lay a living lion. The majestic king of beasts, a symbol of strength and wild nature, was in such a terrible state that the man’s heart clenched in horror.
