We parted ways. Paul’s departure to a new hospital came with a final volley of insults, leaving behind a cloud of judgmental whispers that plagued me at work. The constant gossip eventually took a toll on my mental well-being, prompting my decision to leave the hospital.

After a period of aimless drifting, I realized my love for both my work and physical activity needed a new outlet. Fortunately, a small maternity clinic just two stations away from my apartment was hiring. After the interview, I was immediately welcomed into the team. The clinic was small, but the atmosphere was warm and inviting, a place where I could truly care for patients.
