His voice was a low growl, each word a blade stabbing at my heart. I looked up and saw my mother-in-law, Carol, standing in the doorway, a satisfied smirk on her face. Beside her, my sister-in-law, Chloe Hayes, was recording everything with her phone, snickering.

“Ethan, get closer to her face,” Chloe taunted. “This will go viral. How about the title, ‘Cheating Wife Gets What She Deserves’?”
