Ryan O’Neal’s Cause of Death Revealed

Actor Ryan O’Neal died on December 8, 2023, at age 82 from congestive heart failure due to long-term cardiomyopathy. He passed away at a Santa Monica hospital and was laid to rest at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park.

Known for his roles in Love Story, Paper Moon, and What’s Up, Doc?, O’Neal earned multiple award nominations during his career.

His son Patrick paid tribute on Instagram, calling him “a very generous man” and reflecting on his deep bond with late actress Farrah Fawcett, his longtime partner.

Ryan and Farrah’s stars lie side by side on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — a final reminder of their legacy.
