Kristin Cheyenne Martinson, 28, who went by Cheyenne, was on the bike when it crashed at around 11:30 a.m. local time on Tuesday, May 6, Cleveland 19 News reported, citing the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO).

The driver was identified as Cheyenne’s husband Peter Martinson, according to a GoFundMe page.

Cheyenne and Peter were both initially transported to the hospital following the crash, but Cheyenne was eventually pronounced dead, according to Cleveland 19 News.

Cheyenne was six months pregnant when she died. She and her husband shared a two-year-old son, per the GoFundMe.

The circumstances surrounding the cause of the crash have not been released by authorities.

The GCSO did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Saturday, May 10.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of a tragic accident involving Peter and his wife, Cheyenne,” the GoFundMe page stated. “They were involved in a motorcycle accident that has turned their lives upside down. Cheyenne, who was six months pregnant, tragically passed away along with their unborn child.”

According to the fundraising page, Peter is in critical condition and “fighting for his life, but is stable.”
