For years, the classic wedding dress was a long, white gown with large sleeves and a flowing veil, a style that became popular after Queen Victoria’s wedding in 1840. But nowadays, brides are opting for a variety of styles and colors that reflect their own personalities and tastes.

Modern wedding gowns are far from traditional. They can be short, mid-length, simple, or form-fitting, in a variety of styles like mermaid, sheath, or fit-and-flare. Some brides even forgo the traditional white dress for bolder colors, something that once would have been seen as a complete taboo.
