As the ceremony went on, the bride’s behavior became more and more provocative. She shouted at the groom’s mother, rudely mocked a guest’s thoughtful gift, and drank excessively. The groom, embarrassed by her actions, tried to hold his composure—it was, after all, supposed to be a special day.
But then, something shocking occurred. In an unexpected turn, Roy bit the bride’s hand. The dog, known for his gentle nature, had always been calm and affectionate. The bride screamed, reaching for a bottle to strike Roy, but the groom intervened. When he discovered why Roy had bitten her, he immediately called off the wedding.
The tension reached its peak when the bride, still furious, deliberately stepped on Roy’s tail while looking the groom in the eye. Roy yelped in pain and bit her hand in self-defense. The entire room froze in shock.
The bride screamed in pain, grabbing a bottle from the table, ready to hit Roy again.
«Don’t touch my dog, you provoked him!» the groom snapped.
«I stepped on his tail by accident!» the bride shouted, her face contorted with anger.
«By accident?» the groom replied, staring her down. «Did you also ‘accidentally’ try to hit him with the bottle?»
The bride faltered, trying to justify her actions.
«I didn’t know what I was doing! My hand hurt, it was all a shock.»
The groom knelt next to Roy, who was trembling and had his ears laid back in fear.
«What shock?» the groom said coldly. «Is it your habit to hurt those weaker than you?»
The bride stood there, holding her injured hand, speechless.
The groom stood up, his voice steady and resolute: «There will be no wedding.»
He wrapped his arms around Roy, who licked his hand in gratitude for the protection, while the stunned guests looked on, exchanging bewildered glances.
What do you think—did the groom make the right decision?
